Fantasy Premier League week 10

Ok, So last week didn’t go too well. I used my triple captain on Alexis Sanchez, and the selection changes didn’t pay off. But all is not lost. Theo Walcott, one of the recommended changes from last week, could be in line to bag a goal or two against Sunderland this Saturday. But lets put the past behind us and look forward to this week.

Troy Deeney £7.1m

Watford play hosts to Hull City this week. Hull are still finding there feet under the new manager, and Watford are a dangerous team to play against. Last season, Odion Ighalo was one of the sining stars of the season, however, this season he has struggled to replicate that form. The responsibility falls in their talisman Deeney, and I feel he has a great chance to find the back of the net this weekend.

Xherdan Shaqiri, £6.4m

Stoke play Swansea this weekend. Stoke have been inconsistent this season, so this is going to be the biggest gamble of our recommendations this week. But they are showing signs of life after a slow start. Shaqiri also represents great value at £6.4m considering they are playing against Swansea. Probably not a player to have week-in, week-out, but if the budget is tight and you feel like you want to take a risk this week to gain points where others wont, he could be a good shout.

Erik Lamela, £6.8m

Spurs play current champions Leicester City this weekend. Last season Lamela started showing signs that may justify his huge price tag. This season, those signs are been shown on a more consistent level. He looks dangerous going forward and I think he has a chance to at least create a goal. A player of that quality that has a relatively low price tag, he has to be worth a punt.

Captain selection

After last weeks disaster with Sanchez, my captain will be changed. I am torn between Lukaku and Aguero this week. But I think I will be going with Lukaku. Based on West Ham having a very leaky defence. City should be able to beat West Brom, but West Brom will be very happy to sit on the edge of their box and take a point from the game if they can. So Lukaku is my recommended captain this week.

Theo Walcott £7.9m

Walcott could be a player at an average price that could really boost your points this week. He has been a fantastic run of form, and with Arsenal playing Middlesbrough, there is a huge opportunity to bag some goals.

Mark Noble £6.3m

Mark Noble may not be everyones selection, but he does represent decent value. West Ham are up against Sunderland, who are struggling to keep defensive errors at bay. The combative midfielder is an excellent penalty taker, and playing against a defence that makes a lot of unforced errors, there is real chance of Noble bagging himself a goal from the penalty spot.

Ryan Mason £4.9m

Ryan Mason has been selected by very few players, Lets face it, we need to add players to our teams that are priced significantly lower. Ryan Mason fits the bill. He is a good young player, that has the freedom to push on if he wants. Hull take on Stoke this weekend, so its a gamble adding him to your team. But his range of passing makes him a potentially key player for Hull, so you may just benefit from a sneaky assist or maybe even a goal. One to consider if your budget is tight

Recommended Captain for week 9?

Im going with Alexis Sanchez this week. I think he could add goals and significant points. Im personally using my triple captain this week, and hopefully it pays off. Time will tell!!
